Explore > The Importance of Family Youth Serving the youth of our community is an essential priority.Through teaching and example we work to communicate and instill God's plan in the lives of our youth. Doing so requires a balance of not only directing and teaching, but also giving them the freedom to learn true lessons from the experiences of life. Children God's plan for children is the same as his plan for adults; know him, love him and love one another. We want children to know God's word and the values that stem from it. We also want them to have fun through friendships with others, recognizing that the way in which children develop relationships is very different than that for adults. How do we know how we are doing? The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. The presence of these fruits in each of one of us is a measure of our progress. God gave us life as a gift to enjoy. He has given us a plan that allows us to live life to the fullest and to help others do the same.
